Why More Australians Are Switching to First Press Coffee

We think there should be no sacrifice for that special moment when you sip a great coffee. However sometimes life calls for a coffee on the run, or a tighter budget.

Cafés are great. However the price of a daily visit has been on the rise recently and making many question whether there can be other ways to enjoy great coffee while looking after the wallet. We have had many of our customers reaching out telling us they saved money by transitioning their morning coffee to First Press. In fact,  swapping one daily café iced latte for a First Press one can save you more than a thousand dollars a year. That’s a holiday. A new bike. A season of gig tickets.

But the savings are only part of the story. The real reason people switch is because they get better flavour, better convenience and a calmer morning.

First Press is real coffee

We brew with specialty roasted beans and let the drip do its thing. Slow. Gentle. Clean. It comes out smooth, strong and naturally sweet. No bitterness. No burnt aftertaste. Just proper coffee in a bottle.

Coffee that fits into your day

Early long black before work. Almond latte on the balcony. Protein Iced Latte before or after the gym. Big days that call for Extra Strong. Our range is built so you can make whatever you drink, wherever you are. Hot or iced. Mixed with milk, water or blended into something fun.

No machines

No pods to bin. No gear to set up. No fuss. Just pour and drink. It’s that simple.

The cost per cup speaks for itself

Most café coffees sit around five to seven dollars.
Most First Press coffees cost around two to four dollars to make at home.

That small difference adds up fast. One daily iced latte or iced mocha made at home can save you more than a thousand dollars in a year. And you aren’t trading down on taste.

Built for real life

Our bottles go in the fridge door, the work bag, the glovebox or the Airbnb fridge. They don’t spill. They don’t take up half the kitchen bench. They just help you make good coffee anywhere.

Better for the planet

Glass bottles. Less waste. No pods sitting in landfill for decades. Good coffee should be kind to the earth too.

The switch is easy

The Big Boy gives you 10 shots, at $1.32 per shot. There is 50ml per shot in this bottle and can be consumed alone or you can add the milk of your choice.
The Coffee Concentrate gives you 16 shots at 0.88c per shot. As this is our strongest brew, it is 30ml per shot and we recommend 60ml of water or milk (or a simple two to one ratio of water or milk to coffee). However, once you have the hang of it, you will most likely know your ideal pour. The beauty of First Press is that you choose your own adventure. .

Our iced coffees are ready the moment you open them. Nothing complicated. Nothing seasonal or gimmicky. Just coffee that tastes great and makes your life easier.

In short

People aren’t choosing First Press because it’s cheaper. They’re choosing it because they can still have that special moment when life doesn’t allow for a cafe or machine-made coffee. The bonus is that it frees up money and time for the things that actually matter. Good coffee, your way, every day.
